Attention, Detroit’s creative class: Eastern Market letterpress studio Signal-Return is currently accepting submissions for a poster contest inspired by Detroit’s rich musical heritage. (Full disclosure: I’m on the jury, along with WDET’s Ann Delisi and Robin Terry of the Motown Museum.)

The three winning designers will get a private lesson in letterpress printing from Signal-Return’s printer in residence. A limited edition series of the posters will be made and sold in Signal-Return’s shop, and winners will then be able to utilize Signal-Return’s open studio in the future.

The deadline to submit designs is Dec. 16, and winners will be announced Jan. 13. Check out the contest page on Signal-Return’s website for the full list of rules.
