Ponyride, a building found at 1401 Vermont, Detroit that houses local companies like Detroit Denim and The Empowerment Plan, on the outskirts of Corktown, is hosting an open house and market, featuring local vendors who craft handmade goods and edibles this Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m.

Partners in the event are Detroit Love, an organization formed by Forward Art to help celebrate Detroit’s 313th birthday.

The event will feature an open house element along with a marketplace that will bring together local artisans, crafters and food-makers.

Expect to find local vendors and crafters like Takd Designs, Beard Balm, Folk & Faro, Rebel Nell, Firebrand Candles, and more. Local vintage pop-up Detroit Rose will make an appearance along with Trish’s Garage, a local clothing and personal styling boutique.

The Detroit Pop Shop, Burnt Dawgs, Chewy’s Gourmet Apples, Patience’s Preserves, and Taste Love Cupcakes are just some of the food vendors that will be on-site.

A similar holiday-themed event was held last winter, drawing in a crowd of 800 shoppers. The folks at Ponyride say that expect a similar-sized crowd.

Additionally, tonight at 7 p.m., Ponyride is hosting a volunteer event to help get the building ready for the fair.
