This looks like a very worthy event this evening, the latest ‘I Was Here’ event, held tonight, Tuesday, July 28 at Trinosophes.

Join us for the most recent installment of the “I Was Here” panelougue event series. This time we’ll be talking to long time Detroit event promoters about their experiences shaping the scene over the past couple decades. No, they’re not that old, but they have all been at it for that long! We’ll talk scenes past, present and future and as always, we’ll discuss the impact race has played planning, promoting and attending events in the city.

Panelists include Adriel Thornton, of Fresh Corp; Drake Phifer, of Urban Organic; and Joel Peterson, owner of this session’s host venue, Trinosophes. These three have done so much more than could be included in a short bio paragraph, you’ll have to come to the event to understand just how inflential they’ve been over the years. Hope to see you there!!
