Depending on the season, Comerica Park’s giant tiger statues are known to don jerseys in support of other teams — though they’re currently rooting for a team that isn’t from the Motor City.

In anticipation of the women’s World Cup, the tigers now don the US Women’s National Team’s white and black look. The jersey comes courtesy of Hazel Park’s Banner Sign Company.

Despite its worldwide popularity, soccer has never been big in Detroit, though the recent rise of Detroit City FC seems to be changing that conversation.
