Legendary east coast hip-hop crew Wu-Tang Clan are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of their breakthrough debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) with a special metro Detroit performance.

It was revealed Monday via Wu-Tang Clan's Facebook that they will take the stage at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights on Friday, May 31. The 25th-anniversary performance is part of a select group of shows that Wu-Tang has announced this year. In January, Wu-Tang Clan performed their first anniversary shows with two back-to-back performances in Philadelphia. The last time the legendary collective performed in metro Detroit it was as closing headliners for the 2018 Movement Festival.

“Detroit is a legendary place to be in general. Anytime you’re able to bless the same city where the legendary Motown started," Masta Killa told Metro Times ahead of Wu-Tang's Movement performance. "I know the struggle of the city and the highs and lows — but every city has that. But with the legendary status of Detroit, it's always an honor to perform and add to that legacy."

Released in 1993, 36 Chambers features some of Wu-Tang Clan's most groundbreaking cuts, including "C.R.E.A.M," "Shame on a Nigga," and "Protect Ya Neck."

Pre-sale tickets go live on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.; general sale begins on Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com.
