Ready! Set! Draw! MOCAD’s 6th annual Monster Drawing Rally is both a public event and fundraiser featuring 100 artists — but there’s a catch. All eyes are on the artists who will be given two one-hour shifts to draw in front of a live audience. MOCAD’s annual event exposes an otherwise private process behind the madness. From watercolors, ink, acrylic, and collage, artists will have their pick of materials and mediums to turn an idea into a piece of art. Each piece of art will be made immediately available for purchase for $40. Jamall Bufford of the Black Opera will MC the event and music will be provided by Lady Monix.

Monster Drawing Rally begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 at MOCAD; 4454 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-832-6622;; Tickets are $10, art available for $40 following the event.
