Entering its fifth year, the Detroit Fringe Festival spans genres, mediums, and visions. More than 200 artists have been featured since the festival launched in 2013, giving audiences access to experimental local artists they might not otherwise encounter. And this year is the biggest yet: The fest will take over CMAP, LightBox, Jam Handy, and Planet Ant for a weekend of out-there performances. Per usual, two performers will receive Jury’s Choice and the Audience Choice awards. Among artists in contention, this year include One Single Rose, Molly Jones, Collette Red, Alix Curnow, Robert Fitzgerald, and others.

Detroit Fringe Fest begins at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Planet Ant and will run through Sunday, Nov. 18 with final performances starting at 1 p.m. at Jam Handy; detroitfringefest.com; Tickets start at $8 per day, or $70 for weekend passes.
