Due to popular demand, Netflix has extended the run of Seasons 1 through 8 of the late Anthony Bourdain’s CNN show Parts Unknown — including the Season 2 finale featuring Detroit.

The show — in which the celebrity chef travels the world, exploring cultures through their food — was previously scheduled to expire on the streaming service on June 16. However, the company has decided to extend its run "for months to come," according to a statement made Tuesday.

Bourdain appeared to be particularly fond of Detroit, penning a love letter to the city on his blog after his visit. Last year, he signed on as the producer for a multi-part TV documentary for CNN titled Detroit 1963: Once in a Great City; the project was slated for release this year.

Bourdain was found dead of apparent suicide in his hotel room while filming an upcoming episode in France on Friday at age 61.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 1-800-273-8255. More information and help is available at suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
