Revisit the David Lynch classic 'Eraserhead' with back-to-back midnight screenings

Posted By on Fri, Dec 29, 2017 at 6:00 PM

David Lynch does not make art for the faint of heart, nor are his films suited for those unwilling to dabble into “dreams of very troubling things.” His first full-length feature film, Lynch’s Eraserhead is still uncomfortably surreal in 2017. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, Eraserhead as a midnight movie may make for a telling first date, or perhaps a good night to call it quits with that guy who has never seen Twin Peaks. Either way, Lynch remains a perfect screening system for those who just don’t get it.

Screenings begin at midnight Friday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 30 at the Main Art Theatre; 118 N. Main St., Royal Oak; 248-542-5198;; Tickets are $7.
