'British Arrows' to celebrate British commercials with bloody good time

Maybe you’re tangled in the drama of Coronation Street, or perhaps you’re a sneaky Peaky Blinders enthusiast. But what about the unsung heroes of British television? No need to book a flight — the DFT is bringing the best “adverts” from across the pond to the big screen. From the tongue-in-cheeky to the masterfully inventive and effective, this showcase of the year’s best British advertisements are sure to have you sold.

British Arrows will screen Wednesday, Dec. 27 through Sunday, Dec. 31 at the Detroit Film Theatre; Show times vary; 5200 Woodward Ave., Detroit; 313-833-7900; dia.org; Tickets are $9.50 or $7.50 for students, seniors, and DIA members.
