Sky Convington will deliver the sultry sounds of Billie Holiday during an enchanting tribute at Tangent Gallery

The 17th Annual Billie Holiday Tribute is performed by Detroit Music Award-winner Sky Convington and her band Club Crescendo, who will celebrate one of the most influential and daring jazz artists of all time by digging deep into her catalog to deliver the sultry sounds of yesteryear. Special guest band Dream Ellement will score the afternoon as guests are invited to shop vendors, explore the current exhibit “Love Letter for Jazz,” and indulge in food and cash bar offerings. The event also celebrates the seventh annual coat and blanket drive, so come prepared. 

Billie Holiday Tribute, marketplace event, and fundraiser will take place on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. at Tangent Gallery; 715 E. Milwaukee, Detroit; 313-873-2955; tangentgallery.com; Tickets are $20.
