Betsy DeVos dressed up as Ms. Frizzle for Halloween and Twitter is pissed

Posted By on Tue, Oct 31, 2017 at 1:04 PM

U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos attended the White House's annual Halloween party dressed as Ms Frizzle β€” the eccentric teacher made famous by the '90s cartoon The Magic School Bus.
DeVos is a supporter of school choice, school voucher programs, and charter schools β€” programs that have largely contributed to the downfall of the public school system in Detroit.

As most of us know, the cartoon character was a public school teacher who ignited a passion for learning in her students by taking them on fantastical field trips.

Some folks on Twitter are less than amused by DeVos' costume choice.
DeVos was photographed alongside Kellyanne Conway, the president's famous counselor who has been derided for her seemingly attention-seeking behaviors as well as for propagating "alternative facts" regarding Trump's inauguration ceremony.
