The Michigan Central Station light show is the coolest thing you'll see all week

In case you missed it, the historic Michigan Central Station hosted its first legal event since the building shut down in 1988. The "Detroit Homecoming" event was hosted by Crain's and held inside the former train station.

The event brings together a bunch of rich ex-Detroiters together for an evening of reminiscing about Detroit, and hopefully encourage some to move back and invest. It seemed more like an event for the mega-rich to mingle than anything else, but that's not why we are here.

What was really cool about this event (besides Lily Tomlin being in the house, too) was the light show that was set up in the windows of the historic building. They changed colors and even were timed to spell out "Detroit." Watch the videos below to see how cool it was.
