Kathryn Bigelow's new movie Detroit finally hits theaters today to much excitement. As most of you know, the film follows the uprising and rebellion that took place in Detroit in the summer of 1967 and zeros in on the incident that happened at the Algers Motel.

Annapurna Pictures released exclusive interviews and videos of the actual people who are portrayed by actors in the new film, including Congressman John Conyers Jr., former security guard at the motel Melvin Dismukes, and survivor of the incident Larry Reed.

The videos show snippets of the film, as well as the real life people describing their harrowing experiences. All of the videos are worth a watch.
