Presented by Quicken Loans, Summers in the Park and Faygo Movie Night are quickly becoming a staple for the metro Detroiters. This week’s movie is The Martian starring Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, and Jeff Daniels. In case you’ve been living under a rock and have somehow missed all press about the flick, it centers around an astronaut who’s stranded on Mars. He has to figure out how to survive on another fucking planet while trying to find a way back home. Sounds pretty intense, ay? Well, it won best comedy at the Golden Globes this year, so there must be some laughs in there too.

Saturday, 7/30, Film starts at 8 p.m.; 800 Woodward Ave, Detroit; campusmartiuspark.org; event is free.
