If you're scratching your noggin at that headline, we'll break it down a little further for you. Noir Leather is throwing a summer fashion show this Sunday, but you won't see tan models wearing the typical string bikinis and flow-y macrame cover-ups. Instead, the punk/goth/S&M-positive leather store will presumably be showing a lot of plastic, pleather, and leather during this "tropicult runway show" being held at Northern Lights Lounge in Detroit.

The fashion show will take place on Sunday, May 29 and will feature futuristic work by designer Simone Else with styling by Lisa La Ford and KB Coda.

In addition to what is sure to be an avant guard collection of rubber jumpers and see-through rompers, there will be music by Cheerleader, burlesque by Magenta DeMure, and a fire performance by Jennabelle Wingless.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and is 21 and older only. For more info about this anti-Memorial Day event click here
