Long before artisan coffee roasters started popping up on every corner in Downtown and Midtown, Michigan had Biggby, and the Lansing-based chain of franchised coffee shops turns 21 today.

Unfortunately, liquor laws prevent celebrating in the traditional fashion, with copious amounts of booze, but Biggby is giving customers the next best thing: cheap coffee. Today only, all 20 oz. hot drinks are $1.99. Cold drinks will cost you an extra buck.

And while you're in a celebrating mood, why not try Biggby's special birthday cake latte, which comes complete with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles? Its like coffee for your inner child!
