There's a new reason to think about experiencing the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn: Language and music lessons.

It all starts this winter, when students may register for courses of classes in modern Arabic and the traditional music of the Middle East.

Students must be at least 16 years old to register for the 15-week course in Arabic, and the tuition is $350 plus textbook. Students seeking musical education will have to provide their own instruments, but if you have a tabla, oud, or riqq that's gathering dust, this may be the time to figure out how to make it sing. Courses begin in January.

For more information about the language or music classes, see the museum's website.
