'Gone With The Pope' box hilariously misquotes Metro Times review

If you snagged the DVD and Blu-ray release of the '70s low-budget exploitation flick Gone with the Pope (we know there were so many of you out there clamoring for it), you might have noticed a seemingly glowing endorsement from MT's own Jeff Meyers on the cover, crowning the film "A glorious masterpiece!"

Of course, that's not the full quote. Meyers' original review continues: "...of moviehouse craptitude."

Other quotes from Meyers' original MT review they could have used instead:

"It's the cinematic equivalent of putting lipstick on a sexist, racist pig."

"... set in a world where logic has no place, actors can’t act and everyone has bad hair, lurid ’70s outfits (love those jumpsuits!) and a cigarette addiction."

"Connoisseurs of crap will love every idiotically sordid frame."
