Saturday Shop Obsession: The Detroit Mercantile Co.

Posted By on Sat, Mar 7, 2015 at 9:38 AM

As Detroit continues to experience a renaissance, shoppers are continually treated to admirable new retail establishments. The Detroit Mercantile Co. is one of those shops, a beacon in Detroit's retail scene. Located in Eastern Market, just a block or two from the sheds, the shop carries any number of curiosities including taxidermied animals, sharp leather boots, books on the history of Detroit, McClary Bros. Drinking Vinegars, Sharklion glasses, and plenty more.

We sent our photography intern Dustin Cytacki in to snap some shots of the store on a sunny but cold Friday morning. Check out the images he captured. And maybe head to the store this weekend for some fun and fabulous finds.
