It's no secret that the people of Michigan have an affinity for beer. Although names like Stroh's or craft brewery giants like Founders Brewing Co. or Bell's Brewery are some of the first breweries to come to mind, a new report finds that the state is literally rich with breweries.

According to a report by C+R Research, there are so many craft breweries in Michigan, that the state ranks in the top 10 nationwide for most breweries per capita. Michigan ties with Idaho as one of the states with the most breweries per capita, with 4.5 breweries for every 100,000 adults 21 years of age and older. However, Michigan falls behind other bourgeoning craft beer states like Vermont (11.5 breweries per capita), Montana (9.6), Maine (9.6), Oregon (8.5), Colorado (8.4), and more.

The report also indicates that Michigander's love for craft beer also has a sizable economic impact, reaping $292 per capita for 21+ adults.
