The Freep reports that the store, called Provisions, will offer items that can't be found at other local specialty shops.

Co-owner Zach Berg tells the Freep that Provisions isn't "trying to find cheeses that are meant to be a condiment on top of your sandwich, but cheeses that themselves can be the center of the plate."

The shop will also offer samples and a slightly unique approach to selling cheese and chocolate.

"Buying food in a consultatory atmosphere isn't like going to a grocery store," Berg says. "It's more like going to an outfitter. We want to guide people in that way."

Provisions will be neighbors with the recently opened Urbanrest Brewery and Farm Field Table.
