Swoon: Mark Wahlberg rolls out the red carpet for VIP Wahlburgers preview party

Mega hunk/star Mark Wahlberg gave fans something to scream about Wednesday night when he made an appearance at his new Wahlburgers restaurant in Greektown.

The Detroit News reports that he stopped by as part of filming for his Wahlburgers reality show. Also at the red carpet event, Mayor Mike Duggan and the actor's brother, Paul, who is the chef for the growing Massachusetts-based chain.



The Freep says the Detroit outlet, at 569 Monroe St., is the first of six planned Michigan locations.

"A lot of hard work goes into the preparation of getting us to this point," Mark Wahlberg told reporters during the event, according to the Freep. "This is the one day of excitement and glamour. And then every other day after that is for the customers."

Wahlberg is in Michigan for filming "Transformers: The Last Knight," according to MLive.
