New Center workers, your lunch plans just got better. One of the city's favorite shawarma joints, Bucharest, has opened its third location today on Piquette Street in the city's Milwaukee Junction. The long-anticipated opening took place at 10 a.m.

Owner Bogdan Tarasov had been working on building out the new spot, in the former Dave's Drive-in, for the past year, Eater Detroit says. And the expansion for the popular eatery is not over. The blog reports that a fourth locale is to be installed on the Avenue of Fashion next year. Other locations include the original spot 2040 Park Ave., around the corner from the Fox Theater, and in Corktown at 1623 Michigan Ave.
