Sneak peek: Spike TV's Bar Rescue makes next stop in Ann Arbor

Posted By on Thu, Nov 19, 2015 at 4:56 PM

If you tuned into Spike TV's Bar Rescue on Sunday, you witnessed us embedded with the crew to gather insight into the dysfunction that was the Hooch, a raunchy dive in Dearborn Heights, where the waitresses and bartenders stripped and the owner degrade them by calling them litany of names suggesting they were all 'hos.

Host Jon Taffer managed to help turn the place around and give the beleaguered bar new life, by putting some clothes on the crew, giving the space a more focused theme (a vintage mechanics shop) and rebranding it as Proving Grounds Bar & Grill.

In the show's next round of rehabbing metro Detroit bars, this Sunday will feature The Arena in Ann Arbor, a stale, aging sports bar that hasn't kept up with the city's evolving food and drink scene. In a teaser for the episode, Taffer calls the owner a dick for the way he demeans his staff and customers, as if everything and everyone is beneath him.

Take a peek here at the trailer:
The episode airs at 10 p.m. Sunday. We hear there are two other Detroit area dives that will feel Taffer's wrath. We'll keep you posted with more previews and show times.
