A spring luncheon where the topic is food allergies

Posted By on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 11:14 AM

New York Times editor and columnist Katherine Rosman will speak at the first spring luncheon to benefit the University of Michigan Food Allergy Center. A U-M graduate and author, Rosman is also the mother of a child who has struggled with food allergies. Similarly, the children of co-chairs Hilary Golden, Marla Karimipour, and Stacy Klein are allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, sesame, eggs, shellfish, apples, kiwi, and many other fruits. The event should provide a stimulating discussion of a growing problem whose cause is unknown.

The event is at 11:30 a.m. April 30, at the Townsend Hotel, 100 Townsend St., Birmingham, at tickets are still available by phone or email. Call Jason Keech at 734-763-0866, or email facspringluncheon@umich.edu to order.
