Atwater in the Park named a top U.S. beer hall

Posted By on Thu, Oct 9, 2014 at 11:09 AM

According to Trip Advisor's Jetsetter.com, Grosse Pointe Park's Atwater in the Park holds its own with beer halls in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The community of travelers that contribute to the site praise the establishment for being the most traditional of the eight beer halls they profiled and noted its unique decor and locale as well as its German-ish menu. The beer hall landed at number eight spot, which is last place, but they did beat out every other beer hall in the country. Except, you know, those other seven.

Also on the list are Chicago's Kaiser Tiger, Brooklyn's Berg'n, Philly's Independence Beer Garden, Portland's BTU Brewery, Seattle's Toronado, Nashville's Butchertown Hall, and L.A.'s Beelman's Pub.

For those not in the know, Atwater in the Park is in an old church. We've talked about it a couple times
