Where to party in Detroit for Opening Day

Anchor bar
This classic Detroit dive bar offers a shuttle to and from the game and cheap drinks.

Bookies Bar N' Grille
Located a stone's throw from Comerica Park, this sports bar will feature an indoor and outdoor party (don't forget about their rooftop patio), plus a full bar, tons of TVs, and entertainment.

Bouzouki

Cadillac Cafe at the Detroit Opera House

Featuring DJs, live bands, and a hot dog eating contest, this enormous opening day party takes place just a block from Comerica Park.

The Elwood Bar & Grill
The perfect party for those sans tickets, but still dying to be close to the action. The bar is located just across the street from Comerica Park.

Fillmore
The Riff will broadcast live from the Fillmore all day, starting with morning show Dave & Chuck the Freak, Anne Carlini at 11 a.m., and the Meltdown at 3 p.m.

Opening Day Block Party at Rub Pub BBQ and Annex
This party boasts three distinct atmosphere to choose from — pub style, club style, or sports bar style — and a single cover charge.

Que & Brew at Exodos
This second-story lounge and heated patio will feature a full bar, DJs, and plenty of TVs broadcasting the game.

Rusted Crow Detroit
There won't be huge heated tents or DJs spinning at this downtown spirits-focused bar, but that's not a bad thing. They'll be opening for business early, but "aren't necessarily having a party."
