Two trash bags were found near McGregor and Coolidge avenues.
A work crew made a series of gruesome discoveries along roads in Ypsilanti Township — dead puppies and adult dogs stuffed in trash bags.
One of the dogs had been cut up. Another’s head was severed.
“It’s a horrific crime,” Sgt. Eugene Rush of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office told
The Detroit Free Press.
Workers performing community service for the sheriff’s office found the first two trash bags on April 23 near McGregor and Coolidge avenues. The following day, the work crew discovered three more trash bags, one of which was stuffed with dead puppies, near Wiard and Tyler roads.
The adult dogs, which were decomposed, appeared to be pit bull mixes, Rush told the
Free Press.
