Telling Twitter it's your birthday is a terrible idea (if you're Gov. Snyder)

One Tough Nerd is celebrating his 58th birthday today, and for some reason, his staff thought it'd be a good idea to encourage Twitter to send birthday wishes.

Happy Birthday, Governor Snyder! He turns 58 today. RT & leave a message to wish him a happy birthday!

As most of us know, Twitter can be a cruel, cruel place, and this tweet is the equivalent of dangling meat in front of a pack of wolves. Did no one on staff think to say maybe having him casually kayaking in a body of water was a poor choice of photo?

Tact is not his staff's strong suit, as we've seen before, but this is just asking for it. As expected, Twitter did not disappoint. Here's a random smattering of some of the wishes the Gov's received.
