Robots at Techweek Miami.
Techweek Detroit kicks off Monday, a week-long entrepreneurial conference at the Federal Reserve Building, 160 W. Fort St. The events will range from a trade show open to the general ticket-buyers featuring more than 50 companies, a tech startup competition where business owners can compete for a $50,000 cash prize to pour into their brainchild, a hiring fair to conversations with tech leaders to discuss the industry's future, both locally and nationally, and more. Locals like Detroit Venture Partners CEO Josh Linker, General Manager for Castrol Motor Oil Angel Gambino and CEO of Rapt.fm Erik Torenburg will speak. And, naturally, alcohol and video game-playing are to be had throughout the week. Tickets are $30.
