Target, the store to get anything from a bacon bowl to a new pair of jeans, just announced that they're closing 11 of their nearly 2,000 stores, three of which are in Michigan. The Northland, Bay City, and Monroe Target stores will be closed as of February 1, 2015. In fact, our state has the most closing locations, followed by our neighbor Illinois. Iowa, Texas, Georgia, Kansas, and Minnesota will all be losing a Target store as well. Whatever will they do?

Of course, those stores employ a lot of people. According to a press release, all store employees will be offered positions at other Target locations. For those shoppers who will inevitably be feeling a little displaced, the press release suggests they shop on Target.com or check their locations list for other stores.
