Roar of freedom could blast us out of bed over next week

Last time it happened, we were absolutely confused about what the fuck was going on. Were we at war? Was there a flyover at a parade? Why were jets screaming across the sky and waking us up at ungodly hours? 

Now, at least, we know that there will be exercises in the air over the next week or so, sometimes at night. No idea if the jets will be as audible as they were last time, surprising some 2 million people with early morning thunder, but it's best to be psychologically prepared for anything, especially around the Mount Clemens area.

The purpose of these joint exercises between the Army and Air Force? The article didn't say, although the Army has been conducting exercises in Flint and around metro Detroit since Monday. Isn't that comforting to just learn of a military drill that's been going on for a few days now? I feel safer already.
