The midterm elections are a little over a month away and with that comes a final push by Republicans and Democrats to get their candidates elected.
Today, Barack Obama released his "second wave" of midterm endorsements, following his initial round of endorsements announced on Aug. 1. Included in this second round are a slew of Michigan candidates, including Democratic candidate for governor Gretchen Whitmer, her running mate Garlin Gilchrist II, Elissa Slotkin for Michigan's 8th Congressional District, and Haley Stevens for Michigan's 11th, among others.
Today, I’m proud to endorse even more Democratic candidates who aren’t just running against something, but for something—to expand opportunity for all of us and to restore dignity, honor, and compassion to public service. Gretchen Whitmer followed up with a tweet saying, "I'm so honored to have the support of Barack Obama!"
Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 6. For information on your voter registration and voter precincts, you can head to the Secretary of State website.
