Jolly Pumpkin will expand with a new Royal Oak location sometime this summer.

According to a press release, the spot will occupy the space at 419 S. Main St., the current home of Bastone and Vinotecca Wine Bar. Meanwhile, Bastone will move to current Monk Beer Abbey space located on 5th Street.

Jolly Pumpkin Royal Oak is expected to offer a selection of items from the brewery’s other locations, including pizzas featured at the Midtown Detroit location, which opened in 2015. As for beers, the spot will offer both Jolly Pumpkin and Bastone brews. The space will seat 210 inside, and 40 on a seasonal patio. According to the press release, Bastone will retool its menus to specialize in "Belgian cuisine and brews." The new spot will seat 60 indoors and an additional 36 on an outdoor patio, weather permitting.

Bastone and Vinotecca will close mid-May. Monk Beer Abbey and Craft Royal Oak, its basement nightclub, will remain open throughout the renovations.

A Royal Oak Jolly Pumpkin was originally planned for 2013, but the project hit a snag due to building permit issues. “We never gave up on having a Royal Oak location,” Jolly Pumpkin COO Tony Grant said in a statement. “We’ve wanted to be here for years, but it had to be the right space.”

According to the release, a Chicago location is also planned for this year.
