MT design director Justin Rose took first place awards for his “Rapture” cover (above) and the magazine spread design for “Opening Day: The Team’s Team.” He also received a second place in editorial cartooning for his illustrations for a story on taxes (below), the gift guide issue and the New Year’s Eve issue.
John Carlisle (aka Detroitblogger John) received a second place in feature writing for “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” about panhandlers, and a third place in photography for his “Rites of Spring,” about a debutante ball.
