A southeast Michigan man got cozy in a pizza oven vent over the weekend after an attempted robbery went south at the Cracker Barrel Pizza Store on Oakhill Road in Clarkston.

According to WDIV, police were summoned to the scene on Sunday evening after employees heard a person screaming for help from inside the floor-to-roof vent.

WDIV reports:

The Sheriff's Office said he was trying to break into the store through the vent in the roof. He had removed the vent cap, entered the pipe from the roof and got stuck. He was there for more than 11 hours, the Sheriff's Office said. Firefighters from Brandon and Independence townships extricated him.

This wasn't the first go around for the 32-year-old Brandon Township man who is currently on parole for 2012 convictions, which included breaking and entering and possession of a controlled substance.

After he was extracted, the man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries and dehydration. Pizza was not on the menu there.
