An Amtrak train traveling from Pontiac to Chicago struck and killed a man in Royal Oak on Wednesday morning.
According to WWJ, CBS Detroit, the Oakland County Sheriff's office is working with federal investigators to learn more about the incident.
The train was approaching the station when those who were waiting report hearing an emergency horn around 5:30 a.m. There are no details yet about the victim's identity. Amtrak officials say that the person was trespassing on a section of the tracks that is elevated on private property. No passengers were injured in the accident.
