The Good Girl Comeback, a local non-profit that seeks to empower girls through teaching about inner beauty and self love, will hold a workshop next Tuesday, July 1.

Partnering with Commerce-based Body Language Fitness and Yoga, the Good Girl Comeback has planned a workshop for girls 12 to 18 years old from 2 p.m to 8 p.m. It will feature a fitness-based yoga routine and nutrition class taught by the yoga studio's owner, Andrea von Behren, who is also a registered dietitian.

With a special sermon on the importance of self-confidence, the importance of positive thinking, and how she achieved her own goals will be Mrs. Michigan Stacie Zotkovich.

“The goal of this workshop is to educate young women about the importance of making healthy choices to fuel their confidence and give them the energy to accomplish their goals,” says Chelsea Gheesling, Founder of the Good Girl Comeback. “We want the girls to leave with increased self-assurance and a willingness to see the goodness in themselves and others.”

Coming at a cost of $25 per girl, the registration fee includes the yoga session, nutrition class, snacks, workshop, and a gift bag.
