News Hits

& giggles

I picked up your latest issue (Jan. 11) and glanced at the cover. On the left side it listed "Lessenberry," "News Hits" and "Savage." But what my brain read was "Lessenberry," "New Shits" and "Savage" and I started wondering what politicians Lessenberry was writing about, since there hadn't been a recent election. So much for my brain getting ahead of my eyes. —Tom Yates, Inkster

POST MORTEM

In response to Brett Callwood's City Slang column, "Hot in the City" (Jan. 10), Robert Helineva posted:

Great article. The City Club was happening in the '80s for sure. I was living in Detroit then. It has to be a near record for longevity, as clubs come and go overnight. I hope the Leland can make a turnaround — it seems to have fallen on hard times. Detroit has a great club and music scene. When one of the good goes away we all lose. Take care, you Detroit clubbers.
