I'm your puppet

How much merchandising can one band do? The world may never know. While *NSync and the Backstreet Boys may be neck and neck in their race for total domination of the fast food world, the former definitely takes a stride ahead by marketing *NSync marionettes, allowing fans to re-enact the video for the hit single "It’s Gonna Be Me" from the album No Strings Attached. The marionettes may mean merchandising ad nauseam to most of us, but to die-hard fans, the fully articulated puppets on strings offer an alternative to lip-synching into a hairbrush. The fancy "NSync 6.5" puppets are part of the On Tour 2000 Collectors Edition from All Entertainment. They cost about $13 at www.kbkids.com and are also available at KB Toys and other retail stores.
