Home for the holidays

Abandoned Shelter of the Week

This festive white-and-green four-bedroom house is right for the coming holiday season. Although, the green trim of 15466 Lamphere is peeling, ASS thought it would be a nice holiday present for that pesky son who won’t move out of the house. According to city records, the property is valued at $31,300.

Neighbors said the house has been abandoned and boarded up for three years.

“The place has had several nice people with families living in it over the years,” said neighbor Jim Pearson. The house, he adds, has also had its share of tenants no neighborhood wants to see.

ASS (that would be the Abandoned Structure Squad to the uninitiated) looked inside to find old clothes, furniture and toys from the previous occupants. In other words, the house comes complete with presents waiting.
