In case you didn’t know, hip-hop is the most innovative form of multimedia entertainment being made today. Every week, there seems to be a new CD resting comfortably atop the Billboard charts. Despite all this success in the music industry, hip-hop record companies have bigger fish to fry. Recently, the trend has been to create exclusive lines of hip-hop fashion bearing the record company’s logo. The hottest brand of the moment is Rocawear, created by Rocafella records, whose most popular artist is Jay-Z. The clothes are typical “urban fashion” gear — expensive jeans and T-shirts. In particular, there is the platinum card long-sleeve T-shirt for $39, basic carpenter jeans for $64 and the denim jumpsuit (kind of like the Fonz’s) for $122. Get on board (at www.rocawear.com) before the Outkast line of clothing becomes even cooler.
