The rowdy rouge and gold will host a top-tier team for the first time when Mexico’s Club Necaxa makes stops at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck tomorrow for a friendly. It’ll be Detroit City Football Club’s second-ever international game.
The nearly century-old Club Necaxa is part of Liga, MX, Mexico’s premier football league and arguably the top league in North America. For the semi-pro, fourth-tier DCFC, Necaxa is sure to be a sturdy challenge. But win or lose, DCFC games are always a treat for those who enjoy the competitive but fun atmosphere of a sporting event. The DCFC supporters’ section is known for its wide array of chants and sing-alongs, and no team or player is safe from heckling.

The match starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $15. The rest of DCFC’s schedule is available here.
