A surreal video went viral on Thursday showing a massive, 18-foot python on a Detroit roof.

The thicc snake drew a crowd of onlookers on Seven Mile on the east side, including gawkers and the police. Eventually, the animal was revealed to be Juliet, an 8-year-old pet reticulated python. Somehow her owner, Devin Jones-White, managed to coax her off his house's roof, The Washington Post reports.

Wow, just look at this chonky girl:

According to the Post, Juliet gets her full figure from a diet of thawed rabbits. But Juliet is friendly, Jones-White says, and would never harm a human.

“She’s about 18 feet long, 18-plus feet, so I can understand people worried about seeing a big snake sitting on top of a garage like that,” Jones-White told WXYZ.

Here's another look at the curvaceous Juliet, an absolute unit:

A python eating a human is indeed rare, but not unheard of, with The Washington Post citing two instances in recent years.

Jones-White says he has a special permit to own the snake, and that he would like to one day open a zoo in the city.
