Fetish Fanatic 5
Evil Angel, directed by Belladonna

The played-out Jenna Jameson may be the household name, but ask the pros in Porn Valley who's best and most will say Belladonna. A few years ago, she followed up a tearful performance under the grilling of Diane Sawyer on Primetime Live with a scene in which she slid a Louisville Slugger up her ass — and somehow managed to turn the freak show into a sensual experience.

And she's never looked back, owning the niche that turns sexual curiosities into seeming sexual necessities.

In Bella's Fetish Fanatic 5, she takes nine girls — no dudes — on a trip through fetishes most civilians probably don't even realize exist: Sure, there's puppy play, latex, squirting and foot worship, but there's also dildo-gagging, anal strap-on, hole-stretching, gobbing and a virtual rainbow of enemas being shot out of the varying anuses. Colorful, yes, and surprisingly stimulating under the guidance of our young and comely Ms. Belladonna.

Looking to show your lover something different this Valentine's Day? This three-disc fetish tour de force may be your guide. —Acme Andersson

John Waters: This Filthy World
Red Envelope Entertainment

Anal blossoms and butthole-bleaching, adult babies and snorting the ashes of a cremated loved one are things that even John Waters doesn't get. For a man who has stretched myriad boundaries of taste, it's comforting to know he has limits. This Filthy World is the film version of John Waters' one-man show, which rolled into Ann Arbor this past summer. Ostensibly a stand-up comedy routine, Filthy World showcases the director's love of the grotesque and irreverent sense of humor. His insights — from negative childhood influences, shoplifting and tea-bagging to art, porn and drugs — paint a larger picture of the man who used his movies as acts of cultural terrorism. John Waters has been giving the big "fuck you" to the mainstream and middle class for what seems like ages; and it wasn't until his last film (A Dirty Shame) got nailed by the MPAA with an NC-17 rating that his acts of cinematic terror came full circle. (Hence, This Filthy World is available exclusively through Netflix in an unrated version. So, fuck you, Blockbuster and Wal-Mart.) Special features on the DVD include a very candid Q&A with the audience, an unedited interview with IFC and a brief segment showing the premiere of This Filthy World at the Toronto International Film Fesival. The iconic Waters has changed the landscape of American cinema and This Filthy World is the perfect primer of how one man's errant obsessions became art. —Paul Knoll

The Beauties and the Beast
Substance

Bigfoot sex films are something almost no one knows about, but they do exist — thanks to the esoteric world of DVDs. They sometimes can be found on various Something Weird titles; at other times they rear their hairy heads in unassuming Sasquatch films that pull the pervy card when the audience least expects it. The scenes usually happen when unassuming bare-assed beauties frolic in the forest, which is a sure sign of impending interspecies lovemaking ahead. So imagine this reviewer's surprise when what looked like a gem of the genre hits his desk with the title The Beauties and the Beast (aka Desperately Seeking Yeti) and there's not one improper encounter in the flick. Not one! The horny ape-man does dump a bunch of naked nymphs in a cave, but there's nary a zesty money shot, which is either a good thing or the kiss of death for, um, adventurous viewers out there. You be the judge. —Jeremy Wheeler

Love Object
Base 12 Productions

Ever felt the need to schtupp a blow-up sex doll? If you're an introverted tech-writer like this guy Kenneth, well, ... See, Kenneth (Desmond Harrington, Wrong Turn, Ghost Ship) has zero social life and no girlfriend. Um, that is until he orders online a life-sized playmate. When Kenneth first does the ol' in-out-in-out with his anatomically correct cutie, he's disappointed, so he christens her Nikki. He buys her clothes, creates a personal history, cooks her dinners, watches movies on the couch with his arm around her and even devises a pulley system from the ceiling so he can dance with her. When a co-worker is hired to help with a large manual, Kenneth asks her out and puts to use his newly honed dating skills. Things get downright ugly-kinky when Nikki turns out to be the jealous S&M type and Kenneth can't make a clean break from her.

Drawing inspiration from Vertigo, Love Object goes from black humor to romance to a disturbing story about male desire and blurring the lines between sexual fantasy and reality. This could have easily devolved into a softcore porn version of Andrew McCarthy's cinematic cheese Mannequin. Instead, the subject matter is played straight with voyeuristic camera angles and acting that rises above Zalman King's adult erotica schlock. As a cautionary tale, Love Object delivers an unnerving perspective on the value of personal interaction in a world of battery-powered gadgets and how-to manuals. —Paul Knoll

Score
First Run Features

It seems that cinematic sexuality is a rare thing these days. One must go back to the crazed erotic filmmaking of the 1970s for some truly great shit that'll surely pull your prick or tickle your titties. One such director that continually delivered was Radley Metzger, a New Yorker that made his name doing Euro adult productions — the best of which is 1973's Score. This fabulous flick follows a swingin' couple who challenge each other to bed a clueless young couple in town. The premise is anything but basic, with razor-sharp dialogue weaving a wicked tale of seduction that tears down sexual barriers in a hot-and-heavy bosom bomb that nearly has the viewer exploding before the acid-freakout orgy finale. With swirling lights cascading over naked bodies, there's little doubt that the contest has been won. —Jeremy Wheeler
