A story by MT's Ryan Felton featured in 'The Guardian'

Over the last year, we've had a lot of praise for the British national newspaper, The Guardian. We've literally praised them again and again and again, even going so far as to allege that their coverage of our fair city outclasses our local daily newspapers. (Those are strong words, considering that they seldom endear you to your colleagues in town.)

So we naturally beamed proud smiles upon seeing the work of our 24-year-old investigative journalist Ryan Felton in that paper. The story is titled "How a traffic stop left a Michigan man beaten, bloodied and bitter at police," and it concerns the beating 57-year-old Detroit resident Floyd Dent received at the hands of Inkster police this January. It's a good piece of journalism, showing the international caliber of Felton's work. Congratulations, Felton: You do us proud.
