Though you can't put a price tag on R-E-S-P-E-C-T, $800,000 is all you need to snag a sprawling piece of music history.

Weeks following her epic celebration of life ceremony, Aretha Franklin's Bloomfield Hills estate hit the market last week for a surprisingly reasonable price. Located within a gated community, Franklin's custom-built estate was erected in 1990, undergoing only one major renovation in 2002 and as the listing states, is a "great opportunity for remodel or renovation."

A mix of black and white marble and wood flooring, Franklin's 4,100 square foot high-ceilinged home boasts five bedrooms, 6.5 baths, multiple decks, a fireplace, a sauna, and views of a pool and two ponds. The estate is one of four Michigan properties owned by Franklin, as she had also purchased two homes in Highland Park and a riverside condo in Detroit where she died surrounded by loved ones on Aug. 16.

Though the Bloomfield Hills property may appear less lavish than one might expect from the legendary diva, as it has been cleared of its furniture and decor, there are hints that someone fabulous once lived there. Notably, the powder pink window dressings in the foyer and living room. The space above the fireplace, too, looks as though it was made to frame a beloved piece of art. Her enviable walk-in closet that, likely, once housed her dramatic fur collection. And the kitchen, spacious, pristine with ample counter space, seems like the ideal place for Franklin to whip up classic soul food, something she was known for within her family.

We have to assume, too, that the acoustics are pretty damn good.
