Exhibit A: A poorly timed Detroit News column dated Dec. 29, 2015 titled "Emergency management law working for cities," with the Detroit News editorial board's byline.

Exhibit B: A Detroit News column dated Jan. 15, 2016 titled "DPS emergency manager needs to step aside" — citing Darnell Earley's role in the Flint water crisis, which Gov. Snyder recently requested to be declared a federal emergency — under the byline of deputy editorial page editor Ingrid Jacques.

We feel dizzy.
