$2,000 reward offered for Hazel Park cat killer

Posted By on Thu, Dec 10, 2015 at 3:27 PM

An upsetting crime spree has been unsettling Hazel Park residents, and hopes are high that an increased reward for information leading to the perpetrator will bring it to a halt.

For the last few months, the Hazel Park Cat Killer has been murdering felines along East George Avenue right off John R. The cats have been found dead, victims of blunt force trauma.

Hazel Park Police are looking for the person or persons who killed as many as five cats this fall. Most disturbingly, not all the animals were strays.

Now, the Ferndale Cat Shelter and Crime Stoppers are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for killing these whiskered victims. Anyone with information is urged to call the Hazel Park police at 248-542-6161.
